Bayongciaga
Your Travel Anywhere Companion
Bayongciaga seems to sound like a high-end brand, but our local Bayong, whose owner Javier Villaruel hail from Negros Occidental, has developed his niche by promoting one of the best-known handmade bags in the Philippines, the ever-reliable "bayong." Bayong is made by weaving dried leaves. The leaves used for making the bayong vary, but the traditional ones are made from buri leaves in the Visayas and pandan leaves in Luzon. Abaca, bacbac, karagumoy, sabutan, Romblon, and tikog are other organic materials used in making the bayong — all derived from plants native to the Philippines. The environment-friendly bag has been able to go the distance since its launch.

Hand Crafted Bayongciaga
Made for the World
"We have to love on our own. We have so many talented and expertly skilled artisans all over the country and the most talented Pinoy designers for clothes, bags, and furniture." Javier Villaruel indeed created a world-class brand. And the great thing about it is the support it extends to many families in different regions of the Philippines.
Premier Magazine highly supports establishments that follow sustainable practices and other related causes.
